“ONE” a chair you cannot miss!!!

How about an obese chair!! You heard right. Designed by Charlotte Kingsnorth, it was the result of a design competition sponsored by an educational charity that supports creative arts in the UK.Charlotte was the winner of this design competition and for a good reason. “ONE” was inspired by the painting of English painter Jenny Saville, (portraying a fleshy nude seating in a chair); the chairs frame calls for an abstract austere wooden structure with over stuffed cushions that continue all the way down to the legs.The chair is something between a sculpture but with a function; keeps you curios for a while; makes you think…am I supposed to seat on this?This chair is produced by Vitra in a numbered limited edition. The price ranges from 8,000-12000 pounds.Overweight back in fashion?Can’t wait for an obese sofa, obese table, obese bed and who knows what but Love the creativity and humor.
