Eco-Friendly Mountain Cabin in Aspen Colorado-Voorsanger Architects
Majestically perched 9,200 sf above sea level, in Aspen Colorado this $35 mil. home is extreme in every respect. Designed by Voorsanger Architects PC the design calls for a contemporary house-mountain cabin coherent to its natural surrounding. A modern “chalet” of 200ft length ,feels like anything else but a small cabin when you are inside. Its unique roof expands over a rock wall that divides the entire home to east and west. The infinite glass wall runs thought-out the length of the home bringing the rocky surrounding and green forests indoors. This cabin was build in eco friendly materials and preserves a rustic look that blends with its context despite the modern design. Geothermal wells heat the home, pool, driveway and any other power sources needed by the house. A great architectural project by Voorsanger Architects.
